Description
Our Rutin is a flavonol glycoside (quercetin rutinoside), supplied as capsules. Each batch is checked for 99%+ purity. It’s intended for research use only.
About Rutin
Rutin is quercetin bound to the sugar rutinose. It’s found in buckwheat, citrus peel, apples and asparagus.
It’s been used in Europe to support small blood vessels.
How it works
Rutin is an antioxidant and inhibits protein disulfide isomerase, an enzyme needed for platelet clotting. Gut bacteria break it down into quercetin and smaller phenolics.
It’s more water-soluble than quercetin.
Published Rutin research
Research covers blood vessel strength, blood clotting and inflammation. Choi and colleagues reported in 2012 that rutin blocked an enzyme involved in clot formation.
Human trials are mostly older and small.

Choosing your option
It comes in one option (Capsules, 450mg per cap/100ct/45g), priced at $15.48.
Capsules hold a measured amount each, listed in the size option with the count and total.
Using Rutin in the lab
Botanical and mushroom research usually starts by checking the extract’s marker compounds, such as polysaccharides, alkaloids or flavonoids, then moves to cell culture or animal models of inflammation, immunity or metabolism.
Extracts vary by source and method, so labs keep to one batch through a study and record the standardization on the label.
Keep a retained sample of the batch you used. If you need to check a result later, you’ll have the same material to test.

Purity and batch testing
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Keeping it fresh
Keep the container sealed at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. Write the date you opened or mixed it on the label, so anyone else in the lab knows how old it is.
Handling notes
Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.
Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.
What you’ll need
- nothing extra for capsules or tablets, as each unit is pre-measured
- a dry, sealed container if you split a bottle between projects
