Description
Our TB-500 is a synthetic thymosin beta-4 peptide, supplied as freeze-dried vials, a nasal spray and sublingual tablets. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.
TB-500 explained
Thymosin beta-4 is a 43-amino-acid protein found in nearly every cell, where it binds actin and helps control cell movement. TB-500 is the name used for synthetic thymosin beta-4 and for a short fragment of its active region.
It’s on the WADA prohibited list and isn’t an approved medicine.
Mechanism of action
Thymosin beta-4’s main job is holding on to G-actin, the building block of the cell’s internal scaffolding. By controlling how much actin is free to polymerize, it controls how cells move and change shape.
Cell movement is the first step in repair, so that’s the link to the wound and blood vessel studies. The fragment often sold as TB-500 contains the actin-binding region, LKKTETQ.
Published TB-500 research
Goldstein and colleagues reviewed thymosin beta-4’s role in wound repair in 2012, covering faster closure of skin wounds and new blood vessel growth in animal models.
Bock-Marquette and colleagues reported in Nature (2004) that thymosin beta-4 improved heart cell survival after injury in mice.

Choosing your option
Choose the option that fits your study:
- Peptide, 2mg: $39.99
- Peptide, 5mg: $79.99
- Peptide, 10mg: $149.99
- Nasal Spray, 100mcg per spray/10mg: $159.99
- Sublingual Tablets, 500mcg per tablet/15ct/7.5mg: $129.99
- Sublingual Tablets, 500mcg per tablet/30ct/15mg: $239.99
These vials are lyophilized powder. Mix them with bacteriostatic water when you’re ready to work with them, and keep unmixed vials cold until then.
The nasal spray comes ready to use in a metered bottle, so there’s nothing to mix. The size shows how much each spray delivers and the total in the bottle.
The sublingual tablets are pre-measured. The option tells you the amount per tablet, the count and the total.
How labs use it
Labs studying tissue repair often compare peptides that act through different routes, such as blood vessel growth versus cell migration, to see whether combining them adds anything.
Photograph or measure wounds at fixed intervals with the same setup each time. It’s the simplest way to keep healing data comparable.
Pick your time points before the study starts. Repair happens in phases, and the phase you sample changes what you see.
Mixing and concentration
The liquid you add sets the concentration. For a 2mg vial:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 2mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 1mg/mL
Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the glass, and swirl gently until it’s clear. Don’t shake it.

Quality and testing
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Keeping it fresh
Freeze-dried vials keep best in the freezer, and a fridge is fine for a few weeks. Once reconstituted, keep it refrigerated and finish it within roughly 28 days. Refrigerate spray bottles after opening and keep the cap on.
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight.
Label the container with the opening date. It saves guesswork later.
Handling notes
Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.
Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.
Supplies to have on hand
- Bacteriostatic Water for reconstitution, or Sterile Water if you’ll use the whole vial at once
- sterile insulin-type syringes or pipettes for measuring
- alcohol swabs for the vial stopper

TB-500 questions
How should I store it?
Follow the storage section above. In short: cold and dark for freeze-dried vials, room temperature and dry for capsules, tablets, powders and liquids, unless the label says otherwise.
What forms does it come in?
Freeze-dried vials, a nasal spray and sublingual tablets. Pick the one you want from the dropdown on this page.
Is TB-500 in stock?
Yes. It’s in stock and ships from our warehouse after your order clears.
Does it come with a certificate of analysis?
Yes. Every batch is tested, and we’ll email the certificate of analysis for your batch number on request.
Can it be used in people or animals?
No. It’s sold for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
What do I mix it with?
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water. Add it slowly down the side of the vial and swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it.
