Description
Apigenin is a flavone, sold by Pure Rawz for laboratory research. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.
What is Apigenin?
Apigenin is a flavone found in chamomile, parsley and celery. Chamomile tea is the most common dietary source.
It’s sold here as a pure powder.
How it acts in research models
Apigenin binds the benzodiazepine site of GABA-A receptors, which may explain chamomile’s calming reputation. It also inhibits CD38, the main enzyme that breaks down NAD+ in tissues.
That CD38 effect is why it’s studied in aging research.
Published Apigenin research
Lab and animal work covers sleep, anxiety, inflammation and NAD+ metabolism. Escande and colleagues reported in 2013 that apigenin raised NAD+ by blocking the enzyme CD38.
Human data come mostly from chamomile studies.

Study design notes
Plant extracts contain many compounds, so a common design compares the whole extract with its main isolated compound to see which effects come from which.
Write the extract ratio or standardization into your methods. It’s the detail reviewers ask about first.
Endpoints depend on the plant: immune markers and cytokines for mushroom beta-glucans, glucose and lipids for metabolic botanicals, or behavior tests for calming plants.

How we test each batch
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
How to store Apigenin
Keep the container sealed at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. Label the container with the opening date. It saves guesswork later.
Handling notes
Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.
Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.

How it compares
Trans-Resveratrol: Trans-resveratrol is the active form of resveratrol, a polyphenol in grape skins, red wine and Japanese knotweed.
Coleus Forskohlii 20%: Coleus forskohlii is a mint-family plant from India and Southeast Asia. Our extract is standardized to 20% forskolin, its main active compound.
Reishi Extract 30% Powder: Reishi is Ganoderma lucidum, a woody shelf fungus known in China as lingzhi. Ours is a 30% polysaccharide extract.
Evodiamine: Evodiamine is an indole alkaloid from the fruit of Evodia rutaecarpa (Tetradium ruticarpum), a plant used in Chinese medicine.
Cordyceps Sinensis: Cordyceps sinensis is a fungus that grows on caterpillar larvae in the Tibetan plateau. Wild material is rare and costly, so most products are cultured mycelium.
