Description

Pure Rawz Reishi extract is a Ganoderma lucidum extract (polysaccharides). Each batch is checked for 99%+ purity. It’s intended for research use only.

Reishi extract explained

Reishi is Ganoderma lucidum, a woody shelf fungus known in China as lingzhi. Ours is a 30% polysaccharide extract.

It’s one of the oldest mushrooms in Chinese medicine.

How it works

Reishi beta-glucans activate immune cells through Dectin-1 and Toll-like receptors. Its triterpenes, the ganoderic acids, affect inflammation signaling and liver enzymes.

Polysaccharide extracts like this one focus on the immune side.

Published Reishi extract research

A Cochrane review (2016) found reishi might improve some immune markers in cancer patients, though the evidence was low quality. Lab studies cover immune, liver and anti-inflammatory effects.

Its triterpenes give it its bitter taste.

Using Reishi extract in the lab

Botanical and mushroom research usually starts by checking the extract’s marker compounds, such as polysaccharides, alkaloids or flavonoids, then moves to cell culture or animal models of inflammation, immunity or metabolism.

Extracts vary by source and method, so labs keep to one batch through a study and record the standardization on the label.

Keep a retained sample of the batch you used. If you need to check a result later, you’ll have the same material to test.
