Description

Pure Rawz Trans-Resveratrol is a stilbene polyphenol, available as capsules and a liquid. Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.

Trans-Resveratrol explained

Trans-resveratrol is the active form of resveratrol, a polyphenol in grape skins, red wine and Japanese knotweed.

It became famous through aging research in the 2000s.

Mechanism of action

Resveratrol activates SIRT1 indirectly and AMPK, both linked to metabolism and aging. Whether it acts on SIRT1 directly has been debated since 2010.

It’s also an antioxidant and affects estrogen receptors weakly.

Published Trans-Resveratrol research

Howitz and colleagues reported in Nature (2003) that resveratrol activated SIRT1, and Baur’s 2006 Nature paper showed it improved health in mice on a high-calorie diet. Human trials have been mixed.

Its absorption is high but it’s broken down quickly.

Trans-Resveratrol sizes and forms

Choose the option that fits your study:

  • Capsules, 250mg per capsule/60ct/15g: $27.85
  • Liquid, 60ml/250mg per ml/15g: $30.05

Capsules hold a measured amount each, listed in the size option with the count and total.

The liquid comes in a glass dropper bottle at a stated concentration per mL, so every draw is easy to calculate.

Using Trans-Resveratrol in the lab

Botanical and mushroom research usually starts by checking the extract’s marker compounds, such as polysaccharides, alkaloids or flavonoids, then moves to cell culture or animal models of inflammation, immunity or metabolism.

Extracts vary by source and method, so labs keep to one batch through a study and record the standardization on the label.

Keep a retained sample of the batch you used. If you need to check a result later, you’ll have the same material to test.

Measuring the liquid

At 250mg per mL, every 1mL holds 250mg and every 0.1mL holds 25mg. A graduated 1mL dropper or syringe makes those measures accurate.

Purity and batch testing

Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.

Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.

Storage and shelf life

Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Store liquids at room temperature with the cap screwed on, away from heat and light.

Write the date you opened or mixed it on the label, so anyone else in the lab knows how old it is.

Handling notes

Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.

Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.

Supplies to have on hand
