Description

Pure Rawz Chaga extract is an Inonotus obliquus extract (polysaccharides). Each batch is checked for 99%+ purity. It’s intended for research use only.

Chaga extract explained

Chaga is Inonotus obliquus, a fungus that grows on birch trees in cold climates. It forms a hard black mass called a sclerotium. Our extract is standardized to 30% polysaccharides.

It’s used as a tea in Russia and Scandinavia.

How it acts in research models

Chaga beta-glucans act on immune cell receptors. Its melanin and polyphenols are strong antioxidants, and its triterpenes affect inflammation signaling such as NF-kB.

Extraction method changes which compounds end up in the product.

Chaga extract research

Lab and animal studies report antioxidant, immune and anti-inflammatory activity. Betulinic acid, which chaga takes up from birch, has anticancer activity in cell culture.

There are no large human trials. High oxalate content has been linked to kidney problems in case reports.

Using Chaga extract in the lab

Plant extracts contain many compounds, so a common design compares the whole extract with its main isolated compound to see which effects come from which.

Write the extract ratio or standardization into your methods. It’s the detail reviewers ask about first.

Endpoints depend on the plant: immune markers and cytokines for mushroom beta-glucans, glucose and lipids for metabolic botanicals, or behavior tests for calming plants.

How to store Chaga extract

Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Write the date you opened or mixed it on the label, so anyone else in the lab knows how old it is.

Handling notes

Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.

Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.
