Description

Pure Rawz Paraxanthine is a caffeine metabolite (1,7-dimethylxanthine). Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.

What is Paraxanthine?

Paraxanthine is 1,7-dimethylxanthine, the main compound the liver makes from caffeine. About 80% of caffeine ends up as paraxanthine.

It’s now sold on its own as a stimulant, mostly under the brand enfinity.

Mechanism of action

Paraxanthine blocks adenosine receptors like caffeine, and it also raises dopamine and nitric oxide signaling. It’s a weaker blocker of some phosphodiesterases.

Because the liver doesn’t need to process it first, its effects don’t depend on CYP1A2 activity.

What studies say about Paraxanthine

Xing and colleagues reported in 2021 that paraxanthine improved some measures of cognition in a small human study, and Yoo and colleagues reported performance effects in mice.

It has a cleaner safety profile than caffeine in toxicology studies.

Paraxanthine sizes and forms

There are 3 ways to buy it, from $22.98 to $49.98:

  • 200mg per capsule/30ct/6g: $22.98
  • 200mg per capsule/60ct/12g: $36.48
  • 200mg per capsule/90ct/18g: $49.98

How labs use it

Cognition studies often test a compound in a deficit model, for example after sleep loss, stress or a drug that impairs memory, because effects are easier to see there than in healthy animals.

Start with the smallest size to confirm solubility and handling, then scale up once the protocol is set.

Test a range of amounts if you can. Many cognition compounds have an inverted-U response, where too much works worse than a moderate amount.

Purity and batch testing

Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.

Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.

How to store Paraxanthine

Keep the container sealed at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.

Safe handling

Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.

Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.
