Description
Pure Rawz Agrocybe is an Agrocybe aegerita mushroom extract (polysaccharides), available as a powder. Each batch is checked for 99%+ purity. It’s intended for research use only.
About Agrocybe
Agrocybe is a genus of edible mushrooms. The species used in extracts is usually Agrocybe aegerita (also called A. cylindracea), the black poplar mushroom. Ours is standardized to 30% polysaccharides.
It’s popular in Chinese and Italian cooking.
How it works
Like other mushroom extracts, its polysaccharides act on immune cell receptors such as Dectin-1. Some compounds from Agrocybe also inhibit cancer cell growth in culture.
Treat it as a lightly studied mushroom extract.
Agrocybe research
Research is mostly cell and animal work on its polysaccharides and on agrocybin and other proteins, which showed antioxidant, immune and antitumor activity in lab tests.
There are no controlled human trials.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search to start from.
Agrocybe sizes and forms
Choose the option that fits your study:
- Powder, 6g: $26.77
- Powder, 12g: $40.98
- Powder, 18g: $56.28
Powder suits labs that want to make their own solutions or capsules. Weigh it on a milligram scale.
Using Agrocybe in the lab
Plant extracts contain many compounds, so a common design compares the whole extract with its main isolated compound to see which effects come from which.
Write the extract ratio or standardization into your methods. It’s the detail reviewers ask about first.
Keep a retained sample of the batch you used. If you need to check a result later, you’ll have the same material to test.
Agrocybe at a glance
- Compound: Agrocybe
- Also known as: black poplar mushroom
- Class: Agrocybe aegerita mushroom extract (polysaccharides)
- Forms: powder
- Options: 3 sizes and forms
- Purity: 99% or higher, verified by first- and third-party testing
- Use: laboratory research only
How we test each batch
We test each batch for identity and purity before it ships, using HPLC and mass spectrometry, with independent third-party checks on top of our own.
The batch number on the label matches the certificate of analysis. If your lab keeps paperwork on file, ask us for it and we’ll email it over.
Keeping it fresh
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Label the container with the opening date. It saves guesswork later.
Working with it safely
Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.
Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.
Before you start
- a milligram scale, since powder has to be weighed
- a suitable solvent if you’re making your own solution, such as DMSO or propylene glycol
