Description
Our Uridine is a nucleotide, supplied for lab research. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.
About Uridine
Uridine monophosphate is a nucleotide used to build RNA. In the brain, uridine feeds the pathway that makes phosphatidylcholine for cell membranes.
It’s sold here as the free acid.
How it works
Uridine is converted to UTP and then CDP-choline, which builds phosphatidylcholine for neuron membranes and synapses. It also acts on P2Y receptors in the brain.
Paired with choline and omega-3s, it raised synapse markers in Richard Wurtman’s studies at MIT.
Published Uridine research
Richard Wurtman’s group at MIT reported that uridine with omega-3s and choline increased synapse proteins in gerbils.
That work led to the medical food Souvenaid.

Choosing your option
It comes in one option (167mg per ml/30ml/5g), priced at $34.41.
Using Uridine in the lab
Cognition studies often test a compound in a deficit model, for example after sleep loss, stress or a drug that impairs memory, because effects are easier to see there than in healthy animals.
Start with the smallest size to confirm solubility and handling, then scale up once the protocol is set.
Cognition studies mostly score behavior, such as maze learning or object recognition. Many also measure something in brain tissue afterwards, like BDNF or acetylcholine.

How we test each batch
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Keeping it fresh
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.
Handling notes
Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.
Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.
