Description

Pure Rawz Centrophenoxine is a DMAE ester, available as a powder. Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.

What is Centrophenoxine?

Centrophenoxine (meclofenoxate) is an ester of DMAE and p-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, first made in France in 1959. It’s sold in some countries as Lucidril.

DMAE is a precursor of choline.

How it works

Centrophenoxine is split into DMAE and p-chlorophenoxyacetic acid. DMAE is thought to feed choline into the brain for acetylcholine and membrane building.

Older studies also reported it reduced lipofuscin, the ‘age pigment’ that builds up in aging neurons.

Centrophenoxine research

Older studies in aged rodents reported less lipofuscin, the age pigment, in brain cells.

Clinical studies in dementia date back decades and were small.

Options and prices

This listing is 25g of powder for $17.47.

The powder is the bulk form, for labs that weigh their own amounts. Use a milligram scale for accuracy.

How labs use it

Nootropic research usually uses memory and learning tests in rodents, such as maze tasks, object recognition or fear conditioning, along with markers like BDNF or receptor binding.

Behavioral tests are sensitive to handling and time of day, so labs keep both constant and score results blind. A vehicle group run on the same day is the most useful control.

Cognition studies mostly score behavior, such as maze learning or object recognition. Many also measure something in brain tissue afterwards, like BDNF or acetylcholine.

Purity and batch testing

We test each batch for identity and purity before it ships, using HPLC and mass spectrometry, with independent third-party checks on top of our own.

The batch number on the label matches the certificate of analysis. If your lab keeps paperwork on file, ask us for it and we’ll email it over.

Storage and shelf life

Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.

Safe handling

Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.

Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.

Before you start

  • a milligram scale, since powder has to be weighed
  • a suitable solvent if you’re making your own solution, such as DMSO or propylene glycol
