Description
Pre-Workout is a pre-training powder from Pure Rawz. Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.
Pre-Workout explained
Pre-Workout is a 30-serving powder with beta-alanine (2.5g), L-citrulline malate 1:1 (2g), agmatine sulfate (1g), L-tyrosine (800mg), creatine HCl and monohydrate (750mg each), HICA, NALT, taurine, phenylethylamine and caffeine.
Sodium and potassium round out the formula.
What’s in Pre-Workout
- Beta-alanine, 2.5g
- L-citrulline DL-malate 1:1, 2g
- Agmatine sulfate, 1g
- L-tyrosine, 800mg
- Creatine HCl 750mg, creatine monohydrate 750mg
- HICA, NALT, L-taurine, 500mg each
- Phenylethylamine, 400mg
- Caffeine anhydrous
- Potassium 200mg, sodium 150mg
How it works
Citrulline raises arginine and nitric oxide, beta-alanine buffers muscle acid, caffeine blocks adenosine, and tyrosine feeds dopamine and noradrenaline production.
It contains stimulants, so treat it accordingly in any study.
Published Pre-Workout research
Beta-alanine raises muscle carnosine and has data for high-intensity work. Citrulline malate is studied for blood flow and fatigue, and caffeine is the best-supported performance ingredient.
The formula as a whole hasn’t been tested.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search to start from.
Pre-Workout sizes and forms
It comes in one option (Tigers Blood/30 Scoops), priced at $44.37.
Each container is sealed and labeled with the batch number, so you can match it to its certificate of analysis.
Study design notes
Nutrient research usually measures blood levels of the nutrient itself first, then the downstream markers, such as NAD+ levels, homocysteine, glutathione or inflammatory markers.
Baseline status matters a lot. Effects are usually larger in subjects that start out low, so measure it before exposure begins.
Typical endpoints are blood levels of the nutrient, the related enzyme activity, and the outcome you care about, such as sleep scores, muscle strength or oxidative stress markers.
Pre-Workout at a glance
- Type: pre-training powder
- Size: Tigers Blood/30 Scoops
- Purity: 99% or higher, verified by first- and third-party testing
- Use: laboratory research only
How we test each batch
We test each batch for identity and purity before it ships, using HPLC and mass spectrometry, with independent third-party checks on top of our own.
The batch number on the label matches the certificate of analysis. If your lab keeps paperwork on file, ask us for it and we’ll email it over.
How to store Pre-Workout
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.
Handling notes
Treat it as a lab chemical. Gloves and safety glasses are the minimum, and a clean, uncluttered workspace cuts down on mix-ups.
Store prepared solutions apart from untouched stock, and record who mixed what and when.
Other compounds to look at
- Reduced Glutathione: Reduced glutathione, GSH, is the tripeptide gamma-glutamyl-cysteine-glycine in its active form.
- Immune Capsules: Immune is a 60-capsule formula of plant extracts, vitamins and antioxidants.
- Pre Reactor Capsules: Pre Reactor capsules hold ornithine, arginine, the three BCAAs (L-isoleucine, L-leucine, L-valine), glucose, magnesium glycinate and theacrine, 245mg per capsule.
- Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN): Nicotinamide mononucleotide is the step right before NAD+ in the body’s main NAD+ recycling pathway.
- L-Arginine Base: L-arginine is an amino acid the body uses to make proteins, nitric oxide, creatine and urea.

Alternatives to consider
Urolithin A Powder: Urolithin A is made by gut bacteria from ellagitannins in pomegranates, walnuts and berries. Not everyone’s gut bacteria make it.
Magnesium Taurate: Magnesium taurate pairs magnesium with taurine, an amino acid-like compound found in heart and brain tissue.
Magnesium Glycinate: Magnesium glycinate is magnesium bound to two glycine molecules. It’s one of the better-absorbed and gentler forms of magnesium.
