Description
Our NMN is an NAD+ precursor (nicotinamide mononucleotide), supplied as capsules and a liquid. Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.
About NMN
Nicotinamide mononucleotide is the step right before NAD+ in the body’s main NAD+ recycling pathway.
It’s sold here as capsules and as a liquid.
Mechanism of action
NMN is converted to NAD+ by NMNAT enzymes. Some studies suggest a dedicated transporter, Slc12a8, moves it into gut cells, though that’s debated.
More NAD+ supports mitochondrial energy production and sirtuin activity.
NMN research
Yoshino and colleagues reported in Science (2021) that NMN improved insulin sensitivity in muscle in prediabetic women. Mouse work by Mills (2016) showed it eased age-related decline.
The FDA ruled in 2022 that NMN can’t be sold as a supplement in the US because it was being studied as a drug, a position it later revisited.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search to start from.
Options and prices
There are 2 ways to buy it, from $52.99 to $55.19:
- Capsules, 250mg per capsule/60ct/15g: $55.19
- Liquid, 60ml/250mg per ml/15g: $52.99
The capsules are pre-filled, so each one has the same amount. The size option lists it per capsule.
The liquid comes in a glass dropper bottle at a stated concentration per mL, so every draw is easy to calculate.
Study design notes
Nutrient research usually measures blood levels of the nutrient itself first, then the downstream markers, such as NAD+ levels, homocysteine, glutathione or inflammatory markers.
Baseline status matters a lot. Effects are usually larger in subjects that start out low, so measure it before exposure begins.
Keep the rest of the diet steady during a nutrient study. Changes in food intake can swamp a small supplement effect.
Measuring the liquid
At 250mg per mL, every 1mL holds 250mg and every 0.1mL holds 25mg. A graduated 1mL dropper or syringe makes those measures accurate.

Quality and testing
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
How to store NMN
Keep the container sealed at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. Keep the bottle capped, upright and out of direct sunlight at room temperature unless the label says otherwise.
Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.
Working with it safely
Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.
Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.
