Description
Pure Rawz BCAA is a branched-chain amino acid powder. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.
About BCAA
BCAA is a powder of the three branched-chain amino acids: leucine, isoleucine and valine. They’re essential, which means the body can’t make them.
Their name comes from the branched side chain on each molecule.
BCAA ingredients
- L-leucine
- L-isoleucine
- L-valine
Mechanism of action
Leucine activates mTOR in muscle, which switches on protein synthesis. BCAAs are burned directly in muscle for energy during long exercise and compete with tryptophan for entry into the brain.
That last effect is studied in central fatigue research.
Published BCAA research
Research covers muscle protein synthesis, exercise fatigue and recovery. A 2017 review by Wolfe found BCAAs alone raise protein synthesis less than complete protein, while other studies report less soreness.
Leucine is the most active of the three.

BCAA sizes and forms
It comes in one option (BCAA/Lemonade/30 scoops), priced at $44.75.
Each container is sealed and labeled with the batch number, so you can match it to its certificate of analysis.
Study design notes
Labs working with supplements often run them in cell culture or animal diets, keeping the base diet identical between groups so the only difference is the added nutrient.
Record the form used, such as glycinate versus oxide for magnesium, because absorption differs between forms.
Keep the rest of the diet steady during a nutrient study. Changes in food intake can swamp a small supplement effect.
BCAA specifications
- Type: branched-chain amino acid powder
- Size: BCAA/Lemonade/30 scoops
- Purity: 99% or higher, verified by first- and third-party testing
- Use: laboratory research only
Purity and batch testing
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Storage and shelf life
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Write the date you opened or mixed it on the label, so anyone else in the lab knows how old it is.
Safe handling
Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.
Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.
