What is Nefiracetam?

Nefiracetam is a racetam from Daiichi Seiyaku. It acts on calcium channels and on nicotinic and GABA-A receptors.

It’s fat-soluble.

How it acts in research models

Nefiracetam boosts calcium channel activity and nicotinic acetylcholine receptor responses through protein kinase signaling. It also affects GABA-A receptors.

Those actions together strengthen signaling in memory-related circuits in rodent studies.
