Description
Turkesterone is a phytoecdysteroid, and Pure Rawz sells it as capsules. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.
About Turkesterone
Turkesterone is an ecdysteroid found in Ajuga turkestanica, a plant from Central Asia. Ecdysteroids are the molting hormones of insects, and plants make them as a defense.
It has a hydroxyl group at the 11-position that sets it apart from ecdysterone.
Mechanism of action
Ecdysteroids don’t bind the androgen receptor. Parr and colleagues reported in 2015 that ecdysterone acts through estrogen receptor beta, which supports muscle protein synthesis.
Turkesterone is assumed to work the same way, though it hasn’t been tested as thoroughly.
What studies say about Turkesterone
Soviet research in the 1970s and 80s reported anabolic effects of ecdysteroids in rats. Isenmann and colleagues reported in 2019 that ecdysterone increased muscle gains in trained young men.
Controlled studies on turkesterone itself are few.

Turkesterone sizes and forms
Choose the option that fits your study:
- Capsules, 300mg per capsule/30ct/9g: $37.71
- Capsules, 300mg per capsule/60ct/18g: $45.33
The capsules are pre-filled, so each one has the same amount. The size option lists it per capsule.
Using Turkesterone in the lab
Labs comparing these compounds usually track the same panel across groups: body composition, testosterone and estradiol, and lipids. Resistance-trained models show effects more clearly than sedentary ones.
Note which compounds can aromatize. It changes which hormone markers matter.
Common endpoints are lean mass, strength, testosterone and estradiol, plus the specific metabolites the compound turns into. Lipids and liver enzymes belong in the panel too.

Quality and testing
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Storage and shelf life
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Write the date you opened or mixed it on the label, so anyone else in the lab knows how old it is.
Handling notes
Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.
Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.
Supplies to have on hand
- nothing extra for capsules or tablets, as each unit is pre-measured
- a dry, sealed container if you split a bottle between projects

- Arachidonic
- Laxogenin (5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin): Laxogenin (6-oxotigogenin) is a steroidal sapogenin from Smilax plants.
- 1-Andro: 1-Andro is 3-beta-hydroxy-5-alpha-androst-1-en-17-one, also called 1-DHEA.

How it compares
Epi-Andro: Epi-Andro is epiandrosterone, a natural steroid that the body makes from DHT. In supplement research it’s studied as a precursor that can be turned back into DHT.
4-Andro: 4-Andro is 4-androstene-3-beta-ol-17-one, a prohormone that converts to testosterone. It’s closely related to androstenedione.
