Inside SARM transdermal stack

S-23

S-23 is a nonsteroidal SARM from the same research group at the University of Tennessee that worked on andarine. It binds the androgen receptor with very high affinity.

SARMs bind the androgen receptor and switch it on, but the way the receptor changes shape depends on the tissue’s co-regulator proteins. That’s why they act strongly in muscle and bone and more weakly in the prostate and skin.

YK-11

YK-11 is a steroidal compound built on a dihydrotestosterone backbone, first described by Japanese researchers in 2011. It’s usually sold next to SARMs, but it’s a steroid and only a partial agonist at the androgen receptor.

YK-11 binds the androgen receptor but doesn’t trigger the full shape change that DHT does, so it activates only part of the usual gene program. That’s why it’s called a partial agonist.

LGD-4033

LGD-4033 (ligandrol, also coded VK5211) is a nonsteroidal SARM discovered by Ligand Pharmaceuticals and later licensed to Viking Therapeutics. It binds the androgen receptor with high affinity and, in animal models, acts strongly on muscle and bone while sparing the prostate.

Like other SARMs, LGD-4033 binds the androgen receptor and the receptor complex moves into the nucleus to switch on androgen-responsive genes. Its binding is unusually tight, with a reported Ki around 1 nanomolar.

Laxogenin

Laxogenin (6-oxotigogenin) is a steroidal sapogenin from Smilax plants. It’s the parent compound of 5-alpha-hydroxy laxogenin and belongs to the brassinosteroid family.

Laxogenin is a plant steroid that doesn’t bind the androgen receptor. Brassinosteroid-type compounds are thought to raise protein synthesis through the PI3K/Akt pathway.

Why researchers use SARM transdermal stack

Labs pair these compounds because each works through a different pathway, so combining them covers more of the system in one study. A fixed mix also means one product, one label and no drift between separate containers.

SARM transdermal stack research background

Jones and colleagues published the main study in Endocrinology in 2009. In male rats, S-23 combined with estradiol suppressed sperm production reversibly while keeping muscle mass and bone density.

Kanno and colleagues showed in Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin in 2013 that YK-11 drove muscle cell differentiation in C2C12 myoblasts more strongly than DHT and raised follistatin expression.

A phase 1 study by Basaria and colleagues, published in the Journals of Gerontology in 2013, gave LGD-4033 to 76 healthy young men for 21 days. Lean body mass rose with the dose, and the study also reported dose-related drops in HDL cholesterol and testosterone.

Choosing your option

It comes in one option (60ml/32.5mg per ml/1950mg), priced at $127.89.

How labs use it

SARM research usually looks at lean mass, bone density, strength and hormone markers such as testosterone, LH and FSH in animal models. Liver enzymes and lipids are worth tracking too.

Because these compounds suppress the body’s own hormone signals, many study designs include a recovery period after exposure ends. Castrated or aged rodent models are common for muscle and bone work.

The classic rodent readout compares levator ani muscle weight with prostate weight, which shows how tissue-selective a compound is. Body composition scans and hormone blood work usually sit alongside it.

Quality and testing

Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.

Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.

How to store SARM transdermal stack

Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Label the container with the opening date. It saves guesswork later.

Handling notes

Treat it as a lab chemical. Gloves and safety glasses are the minimum, and a clean, uncluttered workspace cuts down on mix-ups.

Store prepared solutions apart from untouched stock, and record who mixed what and when.
