Description

Our Taltirelin is a long-acting TRH analog, supplied for lab research. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.

Taltirelin explained

Taltirelin is a synthetic TRH analog developed by Tanabe Seiyaku in Japan. It’s about 100 times more potent in the brain than natural TRH and lasts much longer.

It’s approved in Japan as Ceredist for spinocerebellar degeneration, a group of movement disorders.

Mechanism of action

Taltirelin activates TRH receptors in the brain, raising acetylcholine and dopamine release in several regions. Its structure resists the enzyme that breaks down TRH in seconds.

That stability is the reason it can be studied for longer-lasting central effects.

What studies say about Taltirelin

Clinical studies in Japan reported improvements in ataxia scores in spinocerebellar degeneration. Animal work shows stimulant and arousal effects through the TRH system.

It has weaker effects on TSH release than TRH, which makes it more selective for the brain.

Study design notes

Growth hormone research usually measures GH pulses and IGF-1 in blood, and sometimes body composition. Because GH comes in pulses, sampling time matters a lot.

Many labs pair a GHRH-type peptide with a ghrelin-receptor peptide to study how the two signals add up. Fasting state and time of day both change GH output, so keep them constant between groups.

Typical endpoints are serum GH at several time points, IGF-1, IGFBP-3, and body composition in longer studies. Some labs also track sleep, since GH release peaks in deep sleep.

Quality and testing

Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.

Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.

Storage and shelf life

Keep the container sealed at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. Label the container with the opening date. It saves guesswork later.

Working with it safely

Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.

Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.
