Description

Pure Rawz Fevipiprant is a DP2 receptor antagonist, available as a powder. Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.

About Fevipiprant

Fevipiprant (QAW039) is an oral antagonist of the prostaglandin D2 receptor DP2, also called CRTH2. Novartis developed it to cut eosinophil-driven airway inflammation.

It’s a useful tool for studying the PGD2 pathway.

Mechanism of action

Fevipiprant blocks DP2 (CRTH2), the receptor that prostaglandin D2 uses to recruit eosinophils and Th2 cells. Blocking it cuts eosinophil-driven inflammation in the airways.

The same receptor appears in hair follicle research, which is why DP2 blockers are studied there too.

What studies say about Fevipiprant

Gonem and colleagues reported in 2016 that it lowered sputum eosinophils in people with persistent asthma.

The larger LUSTER phase 3 trials didn’t meet their goals, and Novartis stopped development in 2019.

Fevipiprant sizes and forms

This listing is 5g of powder for $144.17.

The powder is the bulk form, for labs that weigh their own amounts. Use a milligram scale for accuracy.

Using Fevipiprant in the lab

Researchers use reference compounds to anchor a study: if the known drug gives the expected result, the model is behaving. Then the new compound can be compared against it.

Use the published pharmacology as your starting point and record the exact form, such as the salt or the solution strength.

Endpoints follow the drug’s known pharmacology: blood pressure and heart rate for cardiovascular compounds, receptor binding or enzyme activity for assay work, or the specific tissue response the drug is known for.

Purity and batch testing

We test each batch for identity and purity before it ships, using HPLC and mass spectrometry, with independent third-party checks on top of our own.

The batch number on the label matches the certificate of analysis. If your lab keeps paperwork on file, ask us for it and we’ll email it over.

Keeping it fresh

Keep the container sealed at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and sunlight. Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.

Handling notes

Wear gloves and eye protection when you open or measure it, and work on a clean surface.

Label everything you prepare, keep it away from food areas, and follow your lab’s rules for disposing of sharps and chemical waste.

Supplies to have on hand

  • a milligram scale, since powder has to be weighed
  • a suitable solvent if you’re making your own solution, such as DMSO or propylene glycol
