Description

Pure Rawz S-Acetyl L-Glutathione is an acetylated glutathione, available as tablets, a liquid and a powder. Each batch is checked for 99%+ purity. It’s intended for research use only.

About S-Acetyl L-Glutathione

S-Acetyl L-glutathione is glutathione with an acetyl group on its sulfur. That cap protects it from breakdown in the gut.

It’s sold here as tablets, a liquid and a powder.

How it works

Once inside the cell, thioesterases remove the acetyl group and free glutathione. Glutathione neutralizes free radicals and helps the liver process toxins.

Plain glutathione is mostly broken down before absorption.

S-Acetyl L-Glutathione research

Lab work shows it gets into cells and is converted to glutathione better than plain glutathione. Locigno and Castronovo reported in 2002 that it raised intracellular glutathione in cultured cells.

Human data are limited.

The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search to start from.

S-Acetyl L-Glutathione sizes and forms

Choose the option that fits your study:

  • Tablets, 50mg per tablet/30ct/1.5g: $20.20
  • Tablets, 50mg per tablet/60ct/3g: $37.71
  • Liquid, 30ml/33mg per ml/1000mg: $40.98
  • Powder, 5g: $32.22

Tablets are pressed with a fixed amount per tablet, shown in the size option along with the count.

The liquid is a ready-made solution. The concentration per mL is on the label, and a graduated dropper gives the most accurate measures.

The powder is the bulk form, for labs that weigh their own amounts. Use a milligram scale for accuracy.

Study design notes

Nutrient research usually measures blood levels of the nutrient itself first, then the downstream markers, such as NAD+ levels, homocysteine, glutathione or inflammatory markers.

Baseline status matters a lot. Effects are usually larger in subjects that start out low, so measure it before exposure begins.

Keep the rest of the diet steady during a nutrient study. Changes in food intake can swamp a small supplement effect.

Measuring the liquid

At 33mg per mL, every 1mL holds 33mg and every 0.1mL holds 3.3mg. A graduated 1mL dropper or syringe makes those measures accurate.

Quality and testing

We test each batch for identity and purity before it ships, using HPLC and mass spectrometry, with independent third-party checks on top of our own.

The batch number on the label matches the certificate of analysis. If your lab keeps paperwork on file, ask us for it and we’ll email it over.

Keeping it fresh

Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Keep the bottle capped, upright and out of direct sunlight at room temperature unless the label says otherwise.

Note the batch number and the date you opened it in your lab records.

Working with it safely

Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.

Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.

Before you start

  • a graduated 1mL dropper or syringe for accurate volumes
  • a milligram scale, since powder has to be weighed
  • a suitable solvent if you’re making your own solution, such as DMSO or propylene glycol
