Description
Pure Rawz N-Acetyl Carnosine is an acetylated carnosine (eye research). Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.
About N-Acetyl Carnosine
N-acetyl carnosine is carnosine with an acetyl group on its beta-alanine end. That makes it resist carnosinase, the enzyme that breaks down carnosine.
It’s best known from eye drop research.
How it works
In the eye, N-acetyl carnosine is converted to carnosine, which is thought to protect lens proteins from oxidation and glycation.
The acetyl group keeps it intact long enough to reach the tissue.
Published N-Acetyl Carnosine research
Babizhayev and colleagues in Russia published studies on N-acetyl carnosine eye drops for cataracts. Those studies haven’t been independently repeated.
It’s studied as a carnosine delivery form in the eye.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search to start from.

Study design notes
Labs working with supplements often run them in cell culture or animal diets, keeping the base diet identical between groups so the only difference is the added nutrient.
Record the form used, such as glycinate versus oxide for magnesium, because absorption differs between forms.
Keep the rest of the diet steady during a nutrient study. Changes in food intake can swamp a small supplement effect.
