Benzyl benzoate is an ester of benzyl alcohol and benzoic acid. Ours is USP grade.
It occurs naturally in some plants, such as Peru balsam.
How it acts in research models
Benzyl benzoate dissolves many compounds that don’t dissolve well in plain oil, and it keeps them from crystallizing out at higher concentrations.
It’s usually paired with benzyl alcohol.

How labs use it
Keep your solvents and diluents from one lot through a study where you can, and record the lot number with the batch numbers of the compounds you mix.
