Description
Pterostilbene is a methylated resveratrol analog, and Pure Rawz sells it as a powder. It’s tested to 99% purity or higher and sold strictly for lab research.
What is Pterostilbene?
Pterostilbene is resveratrol with two methoxy groups instead of hydroxyl groups. It’s found in blueberries and Indian kino tree bark.
Those methyl groups make it far better absorbed than resveratrol.
How it acts in research models
Pterostilbene activates AMPK and SIRT1 like resveratrol and acts as an antioxidant. It also activates PPAR-alpha, which affects fat metabolism.
Its longer half-life is the main practical difference from resveratrol.
What studies say about Pterostilbene
Kapetanovic and colleagues reported in 2011 that pterostilbene was about 80% bioavailable in rats versus 20% for resveratrol. Riche’s 2013 human trial looked at cholesterol and blood pressure.
It’s often paired with nicotinamide riboside in aging research.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search to start from.
Pterostilbene sizes and forms
This listing is 10g of powder for $30.05.
Powder suits labs that want to make their own solutions or capsules. Weigh it on a milligram scale.
How labs use it
Metabolic research usually tracks body weight, fat mass, glucose and insulin, and sometimes endurance or oxygen use in treadmill tests. Diet-induced obesity models are the most common setup.
Many of these compounds act on energy sensors such as AMPK, PPAR-delta or the body clock proteins. Timing exposure to the light-dark cycle matters for the clock-related ones.
Record the time of day you dose and test. Several of these compounds act on the body clock, and timing changes the result.

How we test each batch
We test each batch for identity and purity before it ships, using HPLC and mass spectrometry, with independent third-party checks on top of our own.
The batch number on the label matches the certificate of analysis. If your lab keeps paperwork on file, ask us for it and we’ll email it over.
Storage and shelf life
Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight. Label the container with the opening date. It saves guesswork later.
Handling notes
Handle it the way you’d handle any research chemical: gloves, eye protection and a clean bench. Don’t eat or drink where you work with it.
Keep it out of reach of anyone who isn’t trained, and dispose of used syringes, vials and wipes according to your lab’s waste rules.
What you’ll need
- a milligram scale, since powder has to be weighed
- a suitable solvent if you’re making your own solution, such as DMSO or propylene glycol
Often ordered alongside
- Glycoslim: Glycoslim is a capsule formula of chromium, Gymnema leaf extract, bitter melon, berberine (as a cyclodextrin complex), cinnamon bark, alpha lipoic acid and black pepper extract.
- Synephrine Solution: Synephrine, or p-synephrine, is the main protoalkaloid in bitter orange (Citrus aurantium).
- Adipotide: Adipotide (prohibitin-TP01) is a peptidomimetic that targets prohibitin on blood vessels feeding fat tissue, then triggers cell death in those vessels.
- 5 Amino 1MQ: 5-Amino-1MQ is a small quinolinium molecule that inhibits nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme highly expressed in fat tissue.
- Meta Up: Meta Up is a 60-capsule formula with five ingredients at 130mg each: green coffee bean extract (50% chlorogenic acid), raspberry ketone, Garcinia cambogia (50%), caffeine anhydrous and green tea extract (98% polyphenols, 45% EGCG).

How it compares
Myo-Inositol Trispyrophosphate (ITPP): ITPP (myo-inositol trispyrophosphate) binds hemoglobin and makes it release oxygen more easily. It was developed by Jean-Marie Lehn’s group in Strasbourg.
GW-0742: GW-0742 (GW0742X) is a selective PPAR-delta agonist from GlaxoSmithKline, structurally close to GW501516. It’s not a SARM, though it’s often grouped with them.
Common questions about Pterostilbene
Is Pterostilbene in stock?
Yes. It’s in stock and ships from our warehouse after your order clears.
Does it come with a certificate of analysis?
Yes. Every batch is tested, and we’ll email the certificate of analysis for your batch number on request.
Can it be used in people or animals?
No. It’s sold for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
How should I store it?
Follow the storage section above. In short: cold and dark for freeze-dried vials, room temperature and dry for capsules, tablets, powders and liquids, unless the label says otherwise.
