Description
DSIP + Melatonin combines DSIP in one product, sold as a nasal spray and sublingual tablets. Every batch is tested for 99% purity or better, and it’s sold for laboratory research only.
What’s in DSIP + Melatonin?
DSIP
Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a nine-amino-acid peptide first isolated from rabbit blood in 1977 by Schoenenberger and Monnier. It was named for its effect on slow-wave sleep in rabbits.
DSIP was found while looking for compounds that drive deep sleep. Researchers named it for the delta waves of slow-wave sleep it seemed to boost in rabbits.
Why DSIP + Melatonin combines these compounds
Labs pair these compounds because each works through a different pathway, so combining them covers more of the system in one study. A fixed mix also means one product, one label and no drift between separate containers.
Research behind DSIP + Melatonin
Small human studies in the 1980s looked at sleep and withdrawal, with mixed results.
For the original studies, start with this PubMed search for DSIP.
DSIP + Melatonin sizes and forms
It comes in 3 options. Pick one from the dropdown above the cart button:
- Nasal Spray, 1.05mg per spray/105mg (100mg Melatonin + 5mg DSIP): $96.98
- Sublingual Tablets, 3.1mg per tablet/30ct/93mg: $86.08
- Sublingual Tablets, 3.1mg per tablet/60ct/186mg: $156.07
The nasal spray is pre-mixed in a metered pump bottle. The label gives the amount per spray and the total, which makes the math simple.
The sublingual tablets are pre-measured. The option tells you the amount per tablet, the count and the total.
How labs use it
Blends and bundles are used when a study needs more than one pathway at once. The usual design runs each compound alone, then the combination, so you can tell whether the mix adds anything.
A bundle gives you separate vials for exactly that. A blend fixes the ratio in one vial, which is easier to handle but can’t be split later.
A clean combination study has at least four groups: vehicle, compound A, compound B and A plus B. That’s the only way to tell whether the mix does more than either part.

How we test each batch
Every batch is tested before it goes on sale. Identity is checked by mass spectrometry, and purity by HPLC, with a target of 99% or higher.
Each container is labeled with the product, the amount and the batch number. Email us that number and we’ll send the certificate of analysis for your batch.
Keeping it fresh
Refrigerate spray bottles after opening and keep the cap on. Store capsules, tablets and powder in a cool, dry place out of direct light, with the lid closed tight.
Write the date you opened or mixed it on the label, so anyone else in the lab knows how old it is.
Working with it safely
Treat it as a lab chemical. Gloves and safety glasses are the minimum, and a clean, uncluttered workspace cuts down on mix-ups.
Store prepared solutions apart from untouched stock, and record who mixed what and when.
What you’ll need
- nothing extra for capsules or tablets, as each unit is pre-measured
- a dry, sealed container if you split a bottle between projects
