Pure Rawz peptide BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide, Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val. It copies a fragment of body protection compound, a protein first found in human gastric juice. The name stands for body protection compound 157.
BPC-157 is one of the most studied research peptides, but almost all of that work is in rodents. It isn’t an approved drug in the US or Europe, and it has been on the WADA prohibited list since 2022.
What the BPC-157 research covers
BPC-157 research comes mostly from Predrag Sikiric’s group at the University of Zagreb. Their rat studies report faster healing of tendon, ligament, muscle and the gut lining, and protection of the stomach against damage from NSAIDs and alcohol.
The proposed mechanisms include new blood vessel growth through the VEGF receptor pathway, effects on the nitric oxide system, and more growth hormone receptors on tendon cells.
